Credits and earnings are different

Purchased credits, the promotional credit included with membership, and stakes returned to a sender are closed-loop message credits and can never be withdrawn. Only Reply Earnings can become eligible to cash out after a 7-day hold. The current minimum cash-out request is $10.

1. Earning a reply dollar

When a recipient submits a reply through Buckd before a message's 72-hour deadline, Buckd records the $1 message stake plus the non-handling portion of each selected add-on as provisional Reply Earnings. A $1.20 add-on contributes $1 and a 70¢ add-on contributes 50¢. The earning is not final merely because it appears on a dashboard. It remains subject to the source payment settling, the 7 days hold, fraud and policy review, refunds, disputes, reversals, corrections, and these Payout Terms.

A sender's $1 stake and the eligible non-handling portion of selected add-ons become Reply Earnings only through a genuine reply to an eligible message. Self-dealing, coordinated replies, manufactured activity, misleading identities, account networks, or other attempts to generate artificial earnings are prohibited.

2. Eligibility to cash out

To request cash out, you must:

  • be at least 18 and legally eligible to receive the payout;
  • have at least $10.00 in eligible, settled Reply Earnings;
  • complete Stripe's required identity, contact, tax, and payout-account verification;
  • provide complete and accurate information and keep it current;
  • be located in a place Buckd and Stripe support for this feature; and
  • have an account in good standing with no unresolved material fraud, safety, payment, or policy concerns.

Buckd may ask for additional information reasonably needed to verify eligibility, investigate irregular activity, satisfy payment-partner requirements, or comply with law.

3. Stripe connected account

Cash out requires a Stripe connected account. Stripe—not Buckd—collects and verifies sensitive identity, bank, and tax information and controls whether an account is ready to receive funds. By starting payout onboarding or requesting cash out, you authorize Buckd and Stripe to exchange the information needed to create and administer that connection, verify eligibility, transfer eligible earnings, address returns or reversals, and meet legal obligations.

Your use of Stripe payout services is also subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and Stripe Privacy Policy. Stripe may reject, restrict, or request more information for a connected account under its rules.

4. Holds and cash-out timing

Reply Earnings remain pending for at least 7 days after the reply. Buckd may extend a hold where reasonably necessary for a payment to settle, a dispute or refund window, verification, fraud or policy review, technical correction, legal process, or payment-partner requirement.

An accepted cash-out request transfers eligible funds to your verified Stripe balance. It is not necessarily a direct or same-day bank deposit. Stripe's payout schedule and your financial institution determine when money reaches your bank. Weekends, holidays, verification, account restrictions, returns, and bank processing can add delay. Buckd does not guarantee a delivery date controlled by Stripe or a bank.

5. Reversals, offsets, and negative adjustments

Buckd may cancel, reverse, or offset unpaid Reply Earnings when a related payment is refunded, disputed, charged back, reversed, unauthorized, fraudulent, technically invalid, or connected to a policy violation. Buckd may also correct duplicate or mistaken ledger entries. If an associated amount has already been paid out, Buckd may deduct it from later eligible earnings, pause future cash outs while the matter is reviewed, or seek repayment where permitted by law.

Buckd will not convert purchased or returned message credits into cash to satisfy a payout. Those credits remain closed-loop and nonwithdrawable.

6. Taxes and records

You are responsible for determining and paying taxes associated with Reply Earnings. Buckd or Stripe may collect tax information, report payments, apply legally required withholding, or provide tax forms. Keep your legal name, address, taxpayer details, and connected-account information accurate. Dashboard totals and transaction histories are informational; retain any records you need for accounting or tax purposes.

7. No employment or guaranteed income

Buckd does not employ members, appoint them as agents, or promise work, messages, replies, or income. You choose whether to keep your public door open and whether to reply. Nothing in these Payout Terms creates a salary, wage, benefits, partnership, fiduciary relationship, bank account, deposit, or right to future earnings.

8. Suspension and changes

Buckd may pause cash out while investigating identity, fraud, payment, safety, policy, legal, or technical issues. Buckd may change the hold period, minimum, eligibility criteria, provider, or supported locations for future earnings with reasonable notice. Changes do not eliminate a vested right that applicable law prevents Buckd from changing.

9. Payout help

Before requesting support, check your pending-versus-eligible balance, connected-account status, and Stripe verification prompts. Then follow the current payout-help instructions on Support. Never send Buckd a full bank account number, password, one-time code, or government ID outside Stripe's secure onboarding flow.

A dollar gets through. A reply earns it.
